Want a wicked good sex or relationship talk on your campus, in your store, or at your event? So do I!

Here’s a list of talks I’ve given in the past and would love to adapt for you. If you have a specific topic in mind that isn’t covered in these, just send me a message and I’ll be very glad to develop a new program just for you.

If you’re looking for a professional training for therapists, medical providers, teachers, higher ed staff, etc, see my pro trainings here.

And you know what? Some of my best events are the one where I just show up and someone hands me a box of questions. Not once has that failed to be an amazing program. Click here to read what attendees have had to say about my events.

5 (DIRTY, LITTLE) SECRETS FROM THE SCIENCE OF WOMEN’S SEXUALITY Emily’s signature program. We begin with the science of sexual response like you’ve never heard it before, and then blow away five myths about women’s sexuality. When does a woman’s desire for sex start? (Way sooner than you think.) What happens to her body when she’s turned on? (Nothing in particular.) What kind of sensations are erotic? (In the right context, ALL OF THEM.) What’s the single best predictor of a woman’s sexual satisfaction? And how can you have great orgasms reliably? As a bonus, you’ll learn Emily’s Top 5 Sex Tips for Having Better Sex Than Anyone You Know.

sillhouetteBEYOND CONSENT “Yes means yes,” “no means no,” “consent is like tea,” and “Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no!” – is consent really that simple? Sometimes it is… and sometimes there’s more to it. This talk is about the art and science of sexual pleasure and communication – connecting with your own sexuality and/or with a partner’s sexuality in a way that maximizes pleasure and agency. (Meets Title IX and Campus SaVE Act mandates for educating new students and employees, including consent, bystander and prevention education, etc, and can be adaopted to include a school’s reporting system and disciplinary proceedings.)

LOVE: WTF (whenever. tonight. forever.) This is the talk that inspired Ian Kerner to ask me to write A Scientific Guide to Successful Relationships! In one hour, we’ll talk about the science of trust and betrayal, the science of love and lust, and the science of conflict and communication. If you’ve ever wondered how relationships actually work – why they feel the way they feel and how to make them behave the way you want – this is the talk for you.

boston universityLOVE, LUST, AND LIQUOR This hour-long talk looks at the effects of alcohol on sexuality – from choosing a partner to getting it on (or up). Outcome evaluation has shown this program to be effective at moving students along the continuum of change: students report that the talk increased their awareness of health issues related to sexuality and alcohol; students who say they intend to change their drinking or sexual health behavior report that the program gives them the information they need in order to create positive change; and students who are already making good choices report that the program reinforces those good choices.

GIRLGASM! This talk was the inspiration for The Good in Bed Guide to Female Orgasms! Women’s orgasms are complex, multifaceted, sometimes unpredictable, and always a source of fascination. This talk clears up the many myths and misunderstandings that abound in mainstream media about women’s sexual functioning and health. Beginning with the basics, the program moves quickly to the fascinating physiological, psychological, and social similarities and differences between male and female human sexuality, and their implications for sexual communication, risk taking, and satisfaction.
